Challenge:Travel agents never share their client lists. Instead, they often use templated pieces from the properties or cruise lines they represent, which they stamp or staple with their agencies' information. NCL wanted to co-brand pieces professionally with travel agent contact information to control the brand/image and increase cruise bookings to travel agent lists.
Strategy:Starmark automated the customization of these co-branded pieces online using ChannelPro. Travel agents could input their own information and approve it. NCL controlled the promotional periods and usage with automated email notifications of co-branded pieces. Co-branded pieces were approved by NCL for printing, and even the delivery of the high-resolution file to a printer was automated in ChannelPro.
Results:NCL was able to monitor the usage of the system in real time, create a database of program participants and leverage the value of the travel agent client lists into many more bookings for their cruise ships — the most modern fleet afloat.
